7th June 2025 Hiking - Walking: Around Felixstowe Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Mainly cloudy with showers Max Speed: Distance Covered: 3 miles (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Saturday 7th June - walk ** – Around Felixstowe including a picnic in the Spa gardens – mainly cloudy with showers. The original forecast was for strong winds and rain but it turned out a little better with only fairly light winds with showers with brief spells of sunshine! No plans as usual as it’s the weekend so did my exercises, some of them in the back garden in between the showers! I did pack a picnic and we just walked down to Felixstowe pier, along the prom to have a picnic in the Spa Gardens by the little round pond feeding the fish as we actually have fish food in the backpack! It was pleasant enough by the sea with some cool black clouds passing over, we then continued to The Fludyers, up the steep Beach Road eventually coming out by the new Sainsburys and back home for a welcome cuppa and cake, actually walking over three miles! Better weather forecast tomorrow with some wind so hope to foil, not sure of the venue yet? Photo Album here |
